My friends, family and clients are all in shock. Shock takes a while to process. It’s a mix of despair, grief, anger, and finally getting to the other side where we can find some sense of grounding in the things we value, such as purpose, service, creativity, love, justice, hope, community, and spirit.
Shock jars us to the core and disconnects us from these things that feel real and normal. It seems to disconnect us from our Essence too. This election result was always a possibility. I’m not going to say ‘it’s for the best’ because I hate that expression when bad things happen. And yes, I think it is bad.
Where I’ve come to in the few days I’ve had to be with it is to a place of strength and knowing about what matters now more than ever.
It’s been my sessions with many of you this week that have brought me to this place. Our work of bringing forth YOUR voice, light, Essence and purpose and your commitment to that makes me realize again that this is what matters now more than ever.
You have power. We each have power. Our power is our Light and our Love but only when we have the courage to embody it and bring it into the world in some form. I’m spoken this week with professors who have a new resolve to teach deeply.
With wise women who have a new resolve to write down their wisdom, to honor it and not to abandon it, as so often we do.
Every human Essence has built into it the desire to experience itself fully expressed in the phenomenal world! This feels like a desire in your heart. It’s not the same as the ego’s desire for more and bigger. The heart’s desire is a deep feeling embedded in self-love and a desire to serve and express from that place of Spirit.
Now, more than ever, it matters that you commit to your own Essence and to bringing your voice, gifts, creativity, wisdom and spirit into this world.
The American election isn’t just going to impact our country. We are all connected politically and on all levels. This election reveals a very negative and hateful and racist, and misogynist aspect of our human darkness or conditioned mind. I don’t agree with some who say we all have those shadows. I don’t think we all do.
But we all have some of our own shadows that hold us back from being all that we are capable of Being and Expressing.
Now’s the time to step up!
- If you have a book inside you, write it!
- If you need to step away from co-dependent patterns in relationships with friends or family that keep you dumbed-down, DO IT!
- If you need to get some more education to achieve one of your goals, do it!
- If you need support to stay on your transformational path, get it!
- If you are following the rulebook handed down to you instead of writing your own, stop that!
Your LIGHT, which is your Purpose and your Gift of Wisdom to this world, is important. Each voice is important.
Those people who elected this very disconnected man are also very disconnected. Disconnected from Essence. From the Divinity of their own Soul not as an idea but as a reality. For when we are connected to that deepest of all places, we feel only Love. There is nothing else. When you know that place of Love you could never cast a vote for someone spewing hatred. I’m not trying to condemn those people though. They are afraid in ways I don’t understand.
What I’m saying here is that in contrast to the fear, it is more important than ever to work to be in a place of Love in action. To bring your Voice, the expression of your Soul into the world. Every spark of Light makes the whole world brighter. Your Light is bright. It is your responsibility to know that and to do the work of expressing it in the world in some way.
Finally, stay inspired in spite of it all. Keep working like crazy to honor your Self and express your purpose even if no one in your circles understands you. Don’t wait for validation. Find it within yourself. It’s there.
