It’s funny though…about 10 years ago I thought I wanted to be on Oprah. But that was a short-lived dream rooted in false refuge. False refuge is a Buddhist terms for seeking refuge in experiences or things that are false, that can never give us what we are actually wanting. I wanted recognition, validation, and success. These things in and of themselves are not bad or wrong. But they do not provide the deeper longing, which is to experience the Essence of who we are.
True Refuge, on the other hand, is going within, to the deep quiet place of your Spirit. It is also connecting with others who value their spiritual life. True refuge is studying spiritual writings that help you open more deeply to your own wisdom.
There are many practices and paths for accessing the place of true refuge. What I have created is just one way. Not THE way. But if you are drawn to the language I speak and the energy of me and my work, I invite you to take a closer look.

Module #1: THE NATURE OF DESIRE
What does that word ‘desire’ mean too you?
When our life is stuck, one of the reasons for this is that we are not in touch with the true Desire of our Soul. That’s right. We get caught up in focusing on a desire of the ego instead, such as how to make more money or how to get more clients. It’s a human thing that everyone does. No one is exempt.
The distinction between the two forms of Desire is the originating Intent. The soul’s desire comes from wanting to express your Deep Self. The ego desire comes from the fear of not having what you need.
You will learn, in Module #1, how to shift into your Soul’s Desire. When you do, the things you want will come to you.
EXAMPLES: This is what getting in touch with your true DESIRE looks like for these 3 people I spoke with this week:
•• A client told me today that she realizes how her busyness, though justified, as she is head of her own very successful company, actually is a strategy that has her running from her Deeper Self, her Soul her Being. She is committed to opening up this space in her life where Being, not doing, resides, where her own Being resonates within her. Her true Desire is to know BEING.
•• Another client told me this week that the purpose of her current academic work is to bring forth the Deep Feminine into the intellectual environment where right now it doesn’t hold much validity.She wants to find her own way of talking about the importance of Love, Environment, Nature, and Being in the context of scholarship. Her true desire is CLARITY.
•• A friend and colleague told me this morning that she has always longed for a deeper connection to God, Spirit, or Source in her life.Her life has been about and continues to be about unfolding her divine potential in all areas. Her true desire is to know the DIVINE.
DESIRE is just the first module! Imagine the richness of getting all four!
