You may know me personally from having worked with me or just from these emails and online. Either way, I want to say thank you for your Presence in this community. Your energy makes a difference. We evolve at the rate of the communities we’re plugged in to. We are evolving here. I guarantee you that!
I’m celebrating this month because it’s been 20 years since I saw my very first client!. In 1995 in a small home office in Massachusetts (USA) it all began.
When I think about the clients I work with today vs. the clients I worked with 20 years ago, an interesting things occurs: Although the level of awareness is much greater and the issues more interesting and alive— the process of one 2 one Presence, Listening, Supporting, and Healing is the same.
Recently, someone here in my town asked me what I did. What do you do? Always a daunting question for me. Here’s what I told them:
“I help people wake up!”
When I apply this statement to women leaders-–young women, established leaders, and new coaches, the layers of discovery are infinite! (By the way, the definition of leader I use is this, just in case you don’t see yourself as a leader: If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.~ (John Quincy Adams)
One 2 One work cannot be replicated by an online program
Just yesterday a fairly new client who is a leader and transformational coach herself shared in our session that my Presence allowed her to be fully in her own present-moment and to flow through the places of letting go she needed to become more aware of. End result—fully connected to her Spirit, passionate about her life, ready to fulfill her purposeful leadership role both personally with her family and professionally with the program she’s leading!
Presence cannot be packaged. It comes from the Soul, from the consciousness of the real person sitting across from you. (Yes, it can happen on Skype!)
I’m not saying there is no value at all in programs, articles, books, audios—of course there is! –but I am saying that the experience of being Seen, Heard, Loved, Understood, and Validated at the deepest level of your Self can only happen in a One 2 One experience with a facilitator who can hold that space. Books can validate your awareness for sure. But Love & Consciousness from another Soul is alive, present, vibrating and creating an exchange of energy that transforms uniquely person-to-person.
Yes! I’m tooting my horn here! I’ve been practicing Presence and studying Consciousness all my life. Admittedly, before I had these ‘terms’ I wouldn’t have called it that. But it is my life’s purpose to help people awaken because I’ve been seeking my own awakening since I was 4. (The memoir I’m about to publish will tell the story!)
I hold a powerful space for you to go deep, to clarify your truth, your passion, your self-expression so that you can bring more of you into the world. I also hold the space for deep healing of wounds that still limit your self-trust and trust in the Divine, wounds that keep you hiding the fullness of your Light, wounds that keep you in a protected state.
Caveat: It’s your Desire that counts!
Without your strong desire to create your life and work and dreams, without your awareness of Desire tapping at your heart, without your willingness to go beyond your comfort zone into deep authenticity, what I ‘do’ won’t make much difference.
It’s your Desire that is the primary catalyst for your own transformation. I certainly can help you to tap into that Desire, but if you don’t have a strong desire to DO that, I can do nothing.
“You can’t push a wet noodle”! This is one of my favorite quotes of a teacher speaking about the relationship between a coach and a client. It’s true. (The wet noodle has no desire.)
Questions to help you tap into your Desire:
1. What would I do with my life if I were not concerned with money?
2. What would I do if I knew I could not fail?
3. What have I felt naturally drawn or attracted to?
4. If I were to die today, what would feel unfinished?
5. What is it that’s so important to me that I would risk everything in order to achieve or experience it?
Desire is Essential for Creating New Beginnings
It’s our nature to expand. We are not meant to be static. We are alive like the forest, like the ocean. We are Spirit and we are Consciousness. New beginnings require letting go of the old, the old self-concept, old thoughts and stories about how reality works.
Your Responsibility:
Unlike the caterpillar in the chrysalis, where Nature facilitates the letting go of the old and the creation of the new, as humans we must choose to do this. Without our conscious choice, evolution in our life doesn’t happen.
